Job summary

ManpowerGroup’s client is seeking a Supply Assurance Buyer in Richmond, CA to support manufacturing operations. You will place purchase orders, manage supplier relations, monitor inventory, and proactively resolve supply issues using SAP MRP and Microsoft Office tools.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–2 years in purchasing or production planning, with strong communication and negotiation skills to ensure supply chain reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or production planning.
• Experience with expediting and issuing purchase orders.
• Proficiency in SAP MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerBI, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for goods and services needed to support manufacturing operations
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure supply chain efficiency and reliability
• Monitor inventory and stock levels to meet production and inventory goals
• Identify and resolve potential supply issues proactively
• Work actively within SAP system to manage workflow and resolve invoice discrepancies
