The role covers multiple sites and categories, including MRO, chemicals, packaging, and services. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of purchasing experience, strong negotiation and ERP skills (SAP/Ariba), and excellent organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of purchasing experience required.
• Knowledge of purchasing procedures, price negotiation, and supplier relationship building preferred.
• SAP or other ERP experience is a plus.
• Resilience, communication, and problem-solving are valued in this role.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders (POs) for MRO and service purchases; support direct material buys as needed.
• Review requisitions to ensure supporting documentation is complete before approval and PO creation.
• Maintain supplier relationships; monitor open orders, expediting as needed; escalate issues.
• Monitor service agreement expirations and notify end users accordingly.
• Solicit competitive proposals for indirect purchases and prepare sourcing recommendations.
• Manage vendor setups in SAP/Ariba; update pricing, terms and lead times.
• Administer web-based supplier accounts (Grainger, Staples, Fisher).
• Maintain approved supplier lists and document management.
• Handle supplier letters, specifications, codes of conduct, and diversity inquiries.
• Review and complete Tax Exemption Certificates.
• Maintain non-ISN contractor insurance certificates liabilities.
• Maintain miscellaneous supplies for TFS building.
• Review and complete Capital Appropriation Request (CAR) closure forms.
• Escalate issues to Purchasing Manager as needed.
