Job summary

Chewy in Bellevue, WA seeks an Associate Director of Procurement to lead a multi-category sourcing function, driving cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across the organization.

You will build and mentor a high-performing procurement team, shape multi-year strategies, manage large-scale RFx events, negotiate major supplier agreements, and partner with Finance on budgeting and long-range spend planning. Willingness to travel domestically.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in strategic sourcing or procurement leadership.
• Experience leading multi-category sourcing strategies with measurable value.
• Strong ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a procurement team focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
• Develop multi-year category and sourcing strategies for large engagements.
• Direct complex sourcing activities and supplier performance programs.
• Guide contract strategy, negotiations, supplier management and best practices.
• Establish supplier segmentation and governance to optimize performance and risk.
• Lead major supplier agreements and negotiate terms, price, and SLAs.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and long-range spend planning.
• Drive cross-functional process transformation and procurement capability development.
• Influence senior stakeholders with data-driven sourcing recommendations.
