Job summary

Premier Pump & Power is a fast-moving manufacturer of engineered-to-order pump systems, located on-site in Vancouver, Washington. The Buyer I role supports our manufacturing operations by purchasing materials, components, and services to ensure parts are available when needed while maintaining cost and quality.

This position works closely with Planning, Engineering, Production, Materials, Quality, and suppliers, ensuring ERP data accuracy and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office applications.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Review material requirements and purchase components to support production.
• Create and maintain purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Obtain supplier quotations and evaluate pricing, lead times, and availability.
• Communicate with suppliers about open orders, delivery dates, and changes.
• Expedite critical materials to minimize delays.
• Maintain accurate supplier data in the ERP system.
• Coordinate with Planning and Production on priorities.
