Job summary

Safran DSI, headquartered in Arlington, VA, seeks a Buyer II for Bedford, NH to manage planning, sourcing, negotiating and purchasing in a DoD environment. Youll build strong supplier relationships and ensure compliant purchasing aligned with internal policies.

Responsibilities include managing goods procurement, negotiating pricing, maintaining ERP/MRP data accuracy, expediting orders, and keeping records up to date. Travel to supplier sites may be required; US protection status applies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in a purchasing or supply chain environment.
• Requires a High School diploma; advanced education is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of goods and services based on MRP or requisitions.
• Collaborate with suppliers on pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery.
• Analyze ERP output, resolve inventory discrepancies, ensure data accuracy.
• Expedite purchase orders for pull-ins and critical material needs.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, bids, and related docs.
• Review supplier proposals and negotiate pricing within budgets and authority.
• Maintain procurement records including costs, status, and inventory levels.
• Keep ERP PO system updated with order status and delivery dates.
