Job summary

Standard Bots in Glen Cove, NY is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own the purchase order lifecycle from quotes to delivery, and to coordinate with Production, Hardware, Sales, and Finance to keep builds moving. If you enjoy negotiating terms that directly affect ship schedules, this is your role.

You will source suppliers, negotiate quotes, onboard vendors, manage shipments, and analyze spend while maintaining BOM alignment and cost discipline.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on procurement in a manufacturing or hardware environment.
• Experience purchasing electronic components (PCBs, ICs, connectors, passives).
• Experience purchasing CNC-machined parts, welded assemblies, or other mechanical/electrical components.
• Experience reading engineering BOMs or technical part lists to build purchasing requirements.
• Familiarity with international logistics, lead times, customs, freight tracking.
• Proficient with ERP/Procurement platforms and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and reliability.
• Request and negotiate quotes for custom and off-the-shelf parts.
• Onboard new vendors and track performance on quality and delivery.
• Create, manage, and track purchase orders end-to-end.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments and customs processes.
• Reconcile invoices against POs and receipts, flag discrepancies.
