Job summary

A manufacturing company in Logan, Utah, is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a full-time position focused on procurement and supply chain management. Responsibilities include negotiating with suppliers, processing purchase orders, and optimizing inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Associates degree in Operations-Supply Chain and experience with MRP systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associates degree in Operations-Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
• Technical aptitude working with drawings, specification sheets, dimensions, and custom engineered parts.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms and price, lead times, and stocking levels.
• Process requisitions, research materials/supplies, and prepare purchase orders.
• Optimize material/inventory levels and delivery using MRP tools.
• Build relationships with suppliers and review vendors annually.
• Respond to engineering changes to minimize obsolescence.
• Manage RMA and corrective actions from vendors.
• Coordinate with accounting to compile and analyze data for cost analysis and market pricing.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare procurement reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Professionally negotiate terms and price, lead times, and stocking levels.
• Process requisitions, research materials/supplies, clarify specifications, prepare and place purchase orders.
• Optimizematerial/inventory levels, flow, anddelivery using MRPplanning/forecasting tools.
• Evaluateand build relationships withsuppliers,maintainingat least two sources, reviewvendorscorecardswith suppliers annually.
• Proactivelyrespondto engineering changes to minimize obsolescenceandshortages.
• Manage RMAandCorrective actions fromvendors
• Coordinate with accounting to compile and analyze statistical data for cost analysisand track current market pricing.
• Maintainaccuraterecords and prepare procurement reports

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION,AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor orAssociates degree in Operations-Supply Chainor equivalentexperience.
