Job summary

GTI Energy is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist I to join our procurement team in the Chicagoland area. The role coordinates procurement of goods and services, ensures cost-effective purchasing in line with policies and federal regulations, and maintains strong internal customer and supplier relationships.

We offer a hybrid work week (remote Mondays and Fridays; on-site Tue–Thu) with a salary range of $50,000–$70,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or related Finance & Accounting positions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Deltek CostPoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement of goods and services in compliance with company policies.
• Create and submit purchase orders; verify prices, specifications, and delivery dates.
• Perform compliance activities for PO and subcontract agreements as required.
• Maintain vendor records and monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and R&D to align procurement with goals.
