Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Procurement Specialist to efficiently and cost-effectively acquire goods and services for operations, ensuring adherence to policies and project requirements.

The role involves executing end-to-end procurement, negotiating with vendors, and managing contracts while collaborating with project managers to align on needs and specifications. You will monitor supplier performance, prepare reports, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles, preferably within the energy, construction, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • CPM or other relevant professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor records.
  • Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to the development of procurement strategies.
  • Resolve disputes and claims with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
