Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking a remote Procurement Specialist to manage complex IOTs, POs, and subcontracts across DoD, FAA, and international programs. You’ll ensure FAR/DFAR/AMS compliance, collaborate with Program Management, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Legal, and drive supplier performance.

The role requires a university degree with 5+ years of procurement experience (Advanced degree with 3+ years acceptable). Strong MS Office skills and SAP experience preferred. U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage complex, high-visibility IOTs, POs, and subcontracts in support of DoD, FAA, and other contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR/AMS and company requirements from R&D through production and closeout.
  • Collaborate with IPTs across Program Management, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and Legal.
  • Identify and manage supplier relationships focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead bid/proposal activities, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements for new business.
  • Review SSOWs and assist in their development.
  • Perform price analyses, due diligence, and risk planning; manage contingencies.
  • Lead negotiations on price, schedule, terms, and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support PO/Subcontract invoicing inquiries and issues.
  • Ensure accurate interpretation and application of company policies and workflows.

Description:
  • Execute and manage complex, high-visibility and high-value IOTs, POs, and subcontracts from materials, software, and services in support of domestic and international commercial, DoD, FAA, and FMS contracts
  • Ensure strict compliance with Government (FAR, DFAR, AMS), Customer and company requirements from R&D through low-rate initial production, production/deployment, sustainment, and program closeout
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) including Program Management, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Global Trade and Legal
  • Identify, evaluate, manage, and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Execute bid/proposal activities, PIAs/NDAs, and Teaming Agreements for new business and strategic pursuits
  • Review and assist in the development of Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOW)
  • Perform in-depth price analyses, conduct due diligence/comprehensive supplier assessments, proactively identify risks & opportunities including material shortages or supplier instability, and develop contingency plans
  • Lead negotiations (price, schedule, terms/conditions)
  • Manage supplier performance (cost, schedule and quality) against key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Support PO/Subcontract related invoice approvals, inquiries, and issues
  • Meticulously reviews, interprets, and implements company policies, procedures, process instructions, and operational workflows with a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Prior Procurement experience
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in a similar contracts/procurement role with responsibility for sourcing, placing orders, price analysis, negotiations, PO documentation, supplier management, and compliance to company policies and procedures
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, and FAA AMS
  • Experience with international requirements (including Import/Export regulations)
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Statements of Work
  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to prioritize compliance to policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with little oversight
  • Excellent problem solving skills
