Job summary

Allied Staff Augmentation Partners seeks a journey-level Procurement Specialist to perform sourcing, contract management, and supplier performance activities. The role requires familiarity with SAP, P2P processes, and staying within 90 minutes of a power plant for access and testing compliance.

Candidates should have 3–4+ years in supply chain, a business degree or equivalent certifications (CPSM/CPM/CPIM/CSCP/CPCM), and strong negotiation skills. Per diem applies if located outside 90 miles.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in supply chain if PG&E or 4 years’ experience in the same field from another company.
  • 2-year AA Degree in Business or closely related discipline or equivalent professional certifications (CPSM/CPM/CPIM/CSCP/CPCM).

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing.

  • Spend analysis, needs assessment, benchmarking, and business case for sourced materials.
  • Conduct contract negotiations.

  • Create and manage master agreement contracts and outline agreements in SAP.
  • Develop and sustain mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
  • Review supplier performance scorecards and conduct quarterly evaluations.
  • Work with suppliers to implement continuous cost and quality improvements.

Position Summary:

Per diem is offered if located outside of 90 miles from the site at GSA rate.

This position is a journey level Procurement Specialist position responsible for procurement work. Although this position is technically "hybrid", you will be required to maintain plant access and live within 90 minutes of the power plant, to report for random alcohol/drug testing when notified.

To obtain and maintain employment, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check for unescorted access to a nuclear plant, psychological screen, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening in fulfillment of federal requirements.

Responsibilities:

Is able to perform the job duties of an Associate Procurement Specialist. Additional job duties include, but not limited to:

  • Sourcing.
  • Contract management.
  • Supplier performance management, compliance management, and management of the procure to pay cycle.
  • Perform spend analysis, needs assessment, benchmarking and business case for sourced materials. o Conduct contract negotiations.
  • Use independent judgment in selecting and applying procurement methods and techniques to determine cost effective and practical solutions.
  • Review procurement documents for compliance with state and federal laws, e.g. Sarbanes Oxley, and good business practices.
  • Procurement.
  • Create, negotiate, and manage master agreement contracts.
  • Create and manage outline agreements in SAP.
  • Create and manage other SAP procurement master data to facilitate automatic purchase order and related business processes.
  • Supplier Management.
  • Develop and sustain mutually beneficial strategic relationships with suppliers.
  • Develop and review supplier performance scorecards with suppliers. Conduct quarterly evaluations.
  • Work with suppliers to implement continuous cost and quality improvements.
Qualifications Minimum:
  • 3 years’ experience in supply chain if PG&E or 4 years’ experience in the same field from another company.
  • A 2-year AA Degree in Business or closely related discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US. Or Possess one of the following Professional Industry Certifications: o ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) o ISM Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) o APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) o APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) o NCMA Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM)

  • Understanding of principles and practices used in the development of contracts for services, contract administration, contract law, and accounting.
  • Proficient in legal language and terminology.
  • Experienced in business letter writing and basic report preparation.
  • Proficient in resolving contractual disputes.
  • Ability to plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experienced in the ability to articulate and present contractual information to staff and senior leadership.
