Job summary

PACS Group, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist for its Salt Lake City office to coordinate IT asset management, inventory control, and purchasing activities.

You will work with IT teams and vendors to ensure accurate asset records and efficient distribution to all locations. The role emphasizes cost control, compliance, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes and support business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in procurement, business administration, information technology, supply chain management, logistics, or related field preferred.
• Experience or coursework in procurement, inventory management, or related business operations is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, organization, tracking, and reconciliation of IT inventory with accurate asset records.
• Coordinate equipment fulfillment and shipping, including packaging, delivery tracking, and issue resolution.
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor order status, maintain purchasing docs, ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
• Obtain quotes from vendors and support sourcing for technology-related products and services.
• Maintain inventory, purchasing, and cost-tracking data to support reporting and audits.
• Follow procurement, inventory management, and documentation procedures for compliance.

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist supports technology procurement and IT asset management operations by coordinating inventory control, equipment fulfillment, shipping logistics, and purchasing activities. This role helps ensure technology equipment and supplies are accurately tracked, efficiently distributed, and readily available to support business needs. Working closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, the Procurement Specialist contributes to effective procurement processes, inventory accuracy, cost control, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities/Essential Duties

• Manage the receipt, organization, tracking, and reconciliation of IT inventory, ensuring accurate asset records and inventory availability.
• Coordinate equipment fulfillment and shipping activities, including packaging, delivery tracking, and issue resolution to support employees and business locations.
• Support procurement operations by preparing purchase orders, monitoring order status, maintaining purchasing documentation, and helping ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to obtain quotes, resolve purchasing or delivery discrepancies, and support sourcing activities for technology-related products and services.
• Maintain inventory, purchasing, and cost-tracking data to support reporting, budget monitoring, audits, and informed business decisions.
• Follow established procurement, inventory management, and documentation procedures to support compliance with organizational standards and operational requirements.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Experience, coursework, internships, or transferable experience in procurement, business administration, IT support, inventory management, logistics, supply chain operations, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of purchasing processes, inventory management, or general business operations.

Required Degree

• Education in procurement, business administration, information technology, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience and transferable skills will be considered.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Ability to receive, organize, package, and move IT equipment as needed to support inventory and fulfillment activities.
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs as needed to perform job responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with inventory tracking, stock reconciliation, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, or IT asset management.
• Familiarity with procurement systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, inventory management systems, or IT service management tools such as ServiceNow.
• Exposure to computer hardware, technology equipment, software licensing, or cloud-based services.

• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and business processes.
