Job summary

Midwest Dental Arts, an affiliate of Catalis Dental Lab Partners, is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage day-to-day purchasing and inventory. You will coordinate with suppliers to ensure material availability and cost control while maintaining alignment with procurement standards.

Responsibilities include supplier management, PO processing, and inventory reconciliation to support uninterrupted lab operations. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or related operations.
• Familiar with dental laboratory, healthcare, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory, ERP, purchasing, or procurement systems; Zimbis is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of dental materials, supplies, equipment, and services through approved vendors.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in Zimbis, including item setup and pricing.
• Monitor inventory availability, orders, shortages, and substitutions for uninterrupted production.
• Perform month-end inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and report results.
• Oversee PO, invoice, packing slip, and receiving processes for timely payments.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor pricing, delivery, and service levels.
• Track spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support product substitutions.
• Improve purchasing, receiving, and inventory control with other teams.

The role helps ensure material availability, accurate inventory, cost control, and uninterrupted laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities· Manage the procurement of dental materials, supplies, equipment, and services through approved vendors and purchasing systems.· Maintain inventory accuracy within Zimbis, including item setup, vendor information, pricing, stock levels, and inventory optimization.· Monitor inventory availability, open orders, backorders, shortages, and substitutions to ensure uninterrupted production.· Conduct month-end inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and submit accurate inventory reports.· Oversee purchase order, invoice, packing slip, and receiving processes to ensure accuracy and timely payment processing.· Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring pricing, delivery performance, product availability, and service levels.· Track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, report pricing or supply risks, and support approved product substitutions.· Continuously improve purchasing, receiving, and inventory control processes while partnering with Operations, Production, Finance, Quality, and Procurement teams to achieve business objectives.Qualifications & Requirements· Experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, or related operations.· Preferred background in dental laboratory, healthcare, medical device, manufacturing, or similar environments.· Knowledge of inventory, ERP, purchasing, or procurement systems; Zimbis experience is a plus.· Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.· Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.· Understanding of inventory control, supplier management, process improvement, and cost-control practices.· Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Management, or equivalent experience preferred.· Familiarity with dental laboratory materials and vendor networks is a plus.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive Pay with additional bonus potentialBenefits including Medical, dental, vision, Life401k with company matchPaid Time off (PTO) plus paid holidaysOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesMidwest Dental Arts is an affiliate company of Catalis Dental Lab Partners.
