Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead sourcing strategy and engage with senior stakeholders for defined categories in La Porte/Elkhart, IN. You will oversee sourcing processes, provide procurement advice to business areas, and ensure alignment with business requirements and category plans.

Responsibilities include defining category strategies, managing reports, and maintaining awareness of business drivers affecting procurement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience purchasing.
• Data Center construction experience.
• ELEC and MECH Long Lead Procurement knowledge.

About the Role:

Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• The main function of a Procurement Specialist is to lead in determining and managing the sourcing strategy within a defined category or subcategories, identifying and engaging with senior stakeholders.
• The manager will oversee the sourcing process and materials/reports for management, as well as provide sourcing and procurement advice to business areas.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and to define and implement the category strategy, plans and processes for sourcing goods and services.
• Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the business drivers and have a comprehensive understanding of how they affect the business strategy.

Location:

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is between $100,000 – $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
