San Manuel in Highland, CA, is seeking a Procurement Specialist reporting to the Manager, Procurement. The role covers procurement of goods and services, ongoing category management, and supplier performance management for designated enterprise departments.
You will review and process POs, collaborate across departments, source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and monitor performance. The position requires a bachelor's degree and at least two years in a similar role, with CPSM preferred and gaming
Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for the procurement of goods and service, ongoing category management and supplier performance management for designated enterprise departments
Must have strong organizational, customer service, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and seek guidance when required in a customer-centric environment.
On the job experience, negotiating supplier contracts and supplier performance management, preferred.
Positive communications skill, high energy level, continuous improvement mindset, and a sense of urgency are all integral to the role
Ability to leverage data and analytics to generate business cases in support of quantity buy decisions
Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple sourcing assignments while providing superior service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of casino/gaming industry, suppliers, cost drivers is preferred.
Experience with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems and processes.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Utilizes active listening to understand and confirm information.
Proficiency in conveying information clearly and effectively.

At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), preferred.
Driving Responsibilities: Role requires regular commuting between locations. A valid driver's license and vehicle insurance with minimum liability limits is required. Role will not operate or drive Tribe-owned vehicles or patron vehicles.
