Job summary

Leeward Renewable Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist (P2) to support sourcing, purchasing, and organization of PV modules during development and construction. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement within the Procurement Execution team.

The position is based in-office with at least three days on-site weekly and hybrid flexibility for two remote days, aiming to maintain supplier relationships, bid competitiveness, and schedule adherence for renewable energy projects in the

Qualifications

  • Associates or BS in a related field.
  • 2+ years of procurement and equipment purchasing experience; PV experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the energy industry is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate urgency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of purchase agreements and related risks.
  • Must be able to work on-site at least three days a week with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers and service suppliers including PV module equipment.
  • Ensure competitive bids are obtained for equipment and service contracts; ensure pricing aligns with budgets.
  • Ensure inventory of Owner Supplied Equipment is up to date.
  • Provide updates on contractual timelines and obligations.

Job Summary:

The Procurement Specialist (P2) is an individual contributor and member of the Procurement team. The Procurement Specialist reports to the Senior Manager of Procurement and will have a focus on assisting the Procurement Execution team in supporting projects through the sourcing, purchasing, and organization of photo-voltaic (PV) modules during development and construction.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop andmaintaincontacts and relationships with major equipment manufacturers and servicesuppliersincludingbut not limited to PV module equipment.
  • Ensurecompetitive bidsare obtained for purchase of equipmentas well asservice contracts andensurethe pricingis consistentwith establishedprojectbudgets.
  • Ensure inventory of Owner Supplied Equipment is always up to date.
  • Provide updates on contractual timelines and obligations.
Qualifications:
  • Associates or BS in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement and equipment purchasing agreements in PV experience a plus
  • Experience working in an energy industry
  • Detail oriented with a demonstrated high level of organization
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency when faced with important procurement issues thatimpactthe schedule and budgets of renewable projects.
  • Demonstrate excellent intrapersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of purchase agreements and inherent contractual risks
  • Able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment

Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid

Physical Demands:
  • Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
  • Occasional travel
