Job summary

Yancey Bros Co is seeking a procurement specialist to coordinate with vendors and project teams to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials. You will write purchase orders in the YES PO system and track on-time delivery, while supporting production leadership to close procurement gaps.

Ideal candidates have procurement experience, strong sense of urgency, and a commitment to superior customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience preferred.
• Procurement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project management to ensure parts are procured.
• Get quotes from multiple vendors.
• Write POs in YES PO system.
• Collaborate with production leadership to close procurement gaps.
• Provide weekly updates on part procurement.
• Participate in required safety program.
• Handle additional duties as assigned by manager.

What You Will Be Doing:

As the procurement specialist for Yancey Engineered Solutions, you will be responsible for working with vendors to ensure best pricing available, writing POs, and ensuring on-time delivery of parts.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project management team to ensure parts are procured.
• Get quotes from multiple vendors.
• Write POs in YES PO system.
• Work closely with production leadership making sure all procurement gaps are closed.
• Give weekly update on part procurement.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior procurement experience. You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree from a four year college or universityorrelated equivalent experience preferred.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Advanced problem solving capabilities.
