Responsibilities

• Review procurement requests for completeness and process purchase orders.
• Coordinate stock and non-stock material reorders and replenishment.
• Review usage, order quantities, forecasts, and inventory levels to determine replenishment needs.
• Solicit and evaluate bids through RFQ and RFP processes.
• Analyze bids and prepare formal procurement recommendations.
• Coordinate and negotiate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Resolve purchasing issues, price discrepancies, warranty claims, returns, cancellations, and order delays.
• Coordinate logistics for capital, project, and non-stock materials.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice holds, discrepancies, and payment issues.
• Update pricing on blanket purchase orders.
• Review material forecasts and expedite orders when necessary.
• Identify new sources of supply and develop professional supplier relationships.
• Support Supplier Relationship Management activities.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and SOX requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and procurement process efficiencies.
• Provide work management support for materials, services, and other business requirements.
• Complete additional supply chain projects and responsibilities as assigned.
• May support emergency or storm restoration activities, which could occasionally require work outside of the normal schedule.

Procurement Specialist Allentown, PA | $35–$41/hr | Hybrid Long-Term Temporary | Possible Temp-to-Hire

HTSS is hiring an experienced Procurement Specialist for a long-term temporary opportunity with a large utility company in Allentown, PA. This position offers a hybrid schedule, with Mondays and Fridays remote and Tuesday through Thursday in the office. The Procurement Specialist will support the strategic procurement of materials and services across multiple business lines. This role is ideal for someone with strong procurement, supply chain, ERP, inventory, and supplier management experience who is comfortable working independently and coordinating with multiple internal departments and external suppliers.

Schedule & Pay

Monday–Friday Mondays & Fridays – Remote Tuesday–Thursday – In Office in Allentown, PA $35–$41/hour Long-term temporary assignment Potential for temp-to-hire

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience on a year-for-year basis
• Minimum of 3 years of supply chain experience
• Experience with ERP, procurement, or work management systems, OR equivalent relevant experience within the electric utility industry
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Procurement and inventory experience
• Working knowledge of financial and material systems
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with varying levels of ambiguity
• Basic financial analysis skills
• Strong written, verbal, listening, time-management, and interpersonal skills
• Lean and/or Six Sigma certification or equivalent training is a plus
