Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport seeks an Executive Director, Government & Strategic Relations to advance institutional priorities through stakeholder engagement and strategic partnerships. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the President, coordinating cross-department initiatives and external relations with local, state, and federal officials.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Master’s degree or equivalent with substantial relevant experience.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in government, higher education, public policy, community relations, economic development, nonprofit, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead groups and foster teamwork in complex organizations.
  • Ability to travel frequently within Pennsylvania and beyond, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President and a member of the President’s Cabinet.
  • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and public policy developments and advise the President on implications for the College.
  • Coordinate the College’s government relations strategy and manage advocacy services.
  • Cultivate relationships with elected officials, government agencies, businesses, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings and campus visits with public officials and external partners.
  • Collaborate with College leaders to advance priorities in the strategic plan.
  • Represent the College at local, state, and federal meetings and events.
  • Draft legislative proposals and briefing materials to support priorities.
