Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a Procurement Manager, Process & Governance to transform procurement needs into repeatable processes. You will own SOPs, process maps, controls, and governance cadence while coordinating cross-functional inputs with Legal, Finance, IT, and InfoSec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in procurement operations, governance, or PMO.
• Experience developing SOPs, process maps, controls documentation, training materials, and change resources.
• Experience coordinating recurring governance reporting across multiple contributors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, standardize, and maintain end-to-end Procurement workflows across intake, sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and procure-to-pay.
• Create and update SOPs, process maps, RACIs, control points, templates, job aids, and exception pathways.
• Coordinate recurring Procurement governance reporting, calendars, templates, and publication cadence.
• Lead sessions to gather requirements, document decisions, and assign actions to completion.
• Maintain Procurement sites and SharePoint content with proper structure and permissions.
• Apply AI-assisted methods to improve workflow documentation and reporting while ensuring accuracy.
