Position Overview

The Procurement Process & Analytics Analyst is a hybrid role that blends project management discipline, business analysis rigor, and reporting/analytics expertise. This person will translate complex business requirements, policy needs, and global regulatory considerations into simple, scalable, and measurable outcomes for the Procurement organization.

This role drives process enhancement initiatives from discovery through adoption, defining current and future state processes, building the change management and communication plans that bring stakeholders along, and supporting the reporting and analytics function. The Procurement Process & Analytics Analyst reports directly to the Manager, Procurement Center of Excellence.

The Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE) leads Procurement process improvement and transformation initiatives across the Procurement organization. The team is responsible for Procurement governance and compliance, digital Procurement technology, reporting and analytics, and the development and stewardship of Procurement best practices. The CoE partners cross-functionally with Procurement Category Management, Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure Procurement operates as a consistent, well-governed, data-informed function.

Primary Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Transformation
  • Execute end-to-end process improvement and transformation projects, from current-state assessment through future-state design, implementation, and adoption.
  • Translate complex business requirements, policy needs, and global regulatory considerations into clear, scalable, and measurable process outcomes.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and risks in existing Procurement processes and recommend practical, right-sized improvements.
  • Document standard operating procedures, process maps, and playbooks that support consistency and scalability across the Procurement organization.
Project Management
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects using structured project management methods — scoping, planning, milestone tracking, risk/issue management, and status reporting.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and RACI models; keep sponsors and stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams involving Procurement, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
Business Analysis
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Procurement, Compliance, and the broader business.
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into functional specifications, process designs, and measurable success criteria.
  • Support evaluation and configuration of procurement technology (source-to-pay platforms, analytics tools, workflow systems) to meet business needs.
Reporting & Analytics
  • Design and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports that track procurement performance, compliance, and the impact of process improvements.
  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
Change Management, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop and execute change management plans that drive adoption of new processes, policies, and technology across a global, distributed stakeholder base.
  • Design and deliver stakeholder communications, training materials, and engagement sessions tailored to varied audiences and regions.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to ensure buy-in, gather feedback, and address resistance proactively.
Governance & Best Practices
  • Support the development and maintenance of Procurement policies, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable global regulations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Procurement best practices, ensuring they remain scalable as the organization grows and changes.
Core Competencies
  • Change Management — plans and leads adoption of new processes, tools, and policies across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Communications — distills complex or technical information into messaging appropriate for the audience, from frontline users to senior leaders.
  • Project Management — structures, plans, and delivers projects on time and within scope using recognized project management practices.
  • Stakeholder Training & Engagement — designs and delivers training and engagement approaches that drive understanding and adoption.
  • Process Enhancement & Improvement — evaluates current-state processes and designs practical, scalable improvements.
  • Data Analysis & Management — works confidently with Procurement and business data to surface insights and support decisions.
  • Analytical & Conceptual Thinking — translates complex business requirements, policy needs, and global regulatory considerations into simple, scalable, measurable outcomes.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience in a combination of project management, business analysis, and/or reporting/analytics roles, ideally within Procurement, supply chain, or a shared services/CoE environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting process improvement initiatives from design through implementation.
  • Proficiency building reports, dashboards, and data visualizations (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing training and stakeholder communication materials.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate ambiguous or complex requirements into clear, structured, measurable plans.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and collaborating across time zones and global stakeholder groups.
Preferred
  • Prior experience supporting Procurement governance, compliance, or regulatory requirements across multiple regions or countries.
  • Experience with Procurement or source-to-pay technology platforms (e.g., Airbase, Coupa, SAP Ariba, Workday, Jaggaer, or similar).
  • Project management or process improvement certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma, PROSCI change management).
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Python, SQL, or R.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
