Qualifications

• Experience in construction procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or material management.
• Knowledge of industrial construction materials and procurement processes.
• Experience with electrical construction materials preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) materials is a plus.
• Experience with supplier sourcing, vendor management, price negotiation, purchasing, and material expediting.
• Understanding of long-lead procurement and its impact on construction schedules.
• Experience coordinating warehouse, inventory, equipment, or construction logistics.
• Experience using an ERP system; Vista by Viewpoint experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement, purchasing, material management, and logistics activities supporting construction projects.
• Develop supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing agreements.
• Coordinate material flow from suppliers through warehouses and ultimately to project jobsites.
• Monitor and expedite critical-path materials and long-lead equipment to support construction schedules.
• Identify procurement and supply-chain risks and coordinate solutions with project teams.
• Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, service, availability, and project requirements.
• Maintain procurement logs, material status reports, inventory records, and tracking systems.
• Coordinate material staging, warehouse activities, inventory transfers, jobsite releases, and logistics.
• Support equipment procurement, rentals, repairs, calibration, and asset tracking.
• Assist Estimating and Preconstruction with material quotations and supplier pricing.
• Partner with Project Management, field leadership, Accounting, warehouses, vendors, and suppliers to support uninterrupted operations.
• Support project closeout, including surplus materials, warranties, equipment reconciliation, and vendor account resolution.
