Job summary

MPI is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead purchasing operations, strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and procurement team development in a manufacturing setting in Skokie, Illinois. • 7+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of procurement teams.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience sourcing custom-engineered or buy-to-print components.
• Familiarity with machining, metal stamping, electronics in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor a plus.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS.

The Procurement Manager will lead purchasing operations, strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and procurement team development. This individual will partner closely with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain leadership to ensure material availability, improve supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement throughout the procurement function.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of procurement, purchasing, or materials management experience in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and vendor negotiations.
• Experience sourcing custom-engineered or buy-to-print components.
• Familiarity with machining, metal stamping, electronics, or engineered products manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills.
