The Buyer III will manage procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. While an individual contributor role, this position will be equivalent to a \"leader\" level within a growing team. This role focuses highly on strategic sourcing, vendor visits, supplier management, cost negotiation, and maintaining inventory levels to support operational needs.

Our client sits within the Industrial Manufacturing industry and provides a multi-vertical solution plan to support industries such as Aviation, Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor, and Medical Device with tailored components..

Description

• Manage procurement processes to acquire materials and services efficiently.
• Negotiate pricing and terms through effective RFI/RFQ/RFP methodologies to achieve quality specifications and OTD of materials to support and maximize production plans.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production schedules.
• Evaluate and select reliable suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
• Resolve issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards.
• Generate regular reports on purchasing activities and cost management.

Profile

A successful Buyer III should have:

• Track record of supplier alignment, contract renegotiation & ability to deliver on a strategic sourcing plan from initial outreach through vendor on-boarding & P2P optimization.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices and procurement standards.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and purchasing software.
• Ability to execute tactical purchasing duties on multi-line item PO's with value spanning from $500K up to $5M for a single Purchase Order.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
