Job description

Role Overview

Capgemini Invent is seeking a Manager in Procurement & Supply Chain Advisory to lead client engagements focused on planning, procurement, and end‑to‑end supply chain transformation. This role is designed for a consulting professional with strong functional depth and leadership capability who excels in strategy‑led, business‑first transformation, rather than ERP‑centric or tool‑heavy implementations.

As a Manager, you will own workstreams or engagements, lead project teams, and act as a trusted advisor to client leaders—translating complex supply chain and procurement challenges into pragmatic, value‑backed solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead end‑to‑end procurement and supply chain workstreams or engagements, from problem definition through recommendation and execution planning
  • Partner with clients to define strategies, target operating models, and transformation roadmaps aligned to business outcomes such as cost competitiveness, resilience, growth, and ESG
  • Engage confidently with senior client stakeholders, tailoring insights for procurement, supply chain, and executive audiences
  • Translate strategic concepts into pragmatic, executable initiatives, supported by data‑driven insights, business cases, and clear priorities
Procurement & Supply Chain Expertise
  • Apply a business‑first consulting approach to diagnose challenges and identify value levers across:
    • Demand, supply, and inventory planning
    • Strategic sourcing and category management
    • Supplier collaboration, risk, and performance management
    • End‑to‑end supply chain integration and performance improvement
  • Support end‑to‑end process optimization, emphasizing intelligence, analytics, and smarter decision‑making rather than manual or ERP‑led redesign
  • Leverage data, analytics, and emerging capabilities (including AI where relevant) to improve insight quality, speed, and scalability—without over‑indexing on technology implementation
Team, Practice & Growth
  • Manage, coach, and develop consultants and senior consultants, reinforcing structured problem‑solving and high‑quality delivery
  • Contribute to business development, including proposals, client pitches, and opportunity shaping
  • Support capability building within the Invent Procurement & Supply Chain practice through thought leadership, offerings, and reusable assets
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5–10 years of experience in procurement and/or supply chain, within management consulting, internal consulting, or a comparable transformation environment
  • Strong functional grounding across procurement and end‑to‑end supply chain, including planning and upstream/downstream integration
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing workstreams in complex, client‑facing engagements
  • Proven ability to synthesize data and insights into clear, compelling client recommendations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with comfort engaging senior leaders
Preferred
  • Experience across broader supply chain domains (e.g., planning, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, analytics)
  • Exposure to analytics, AI, or digital enablement in procurement or supply chain contexts (experience over certification)
  • Industry experience in consumer products, manufacturing, life sciences, industrials, or related sectors
  • MBA or advanced degree
What We Look For
  • Strategic, structured thinkers with a hands‑on consulting mindset
  • Leaders who thrive in ambiguity and complex problem spaces
  • Advisors who focus on business outcomes over point solutions
  • Team builders committed to developing others and growing the practice
