Job summary

Position Summary

The Procurement Manager oversees company-wide procurement and corporate operations for a growing engineering firm of approximately 450 employees. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational purchasing functions that support employees across the organization. The Procurement Manager supervises a small team, manages key vendor relationships, and ensures efficient and cost-effective procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management
  • Lead company-wide procurement and purchasing activities while supervising a team of 2–3 employees.
  • Develop and improve procurement procedures, purchasing workflows, and inventory controls.
  • Standardize purchasing practices to improve efficiency, consistency, and cost control.
  • Support internal offices and departments by delivering responsive procurement services and timely purchasing solutions that meet business needs.
Operational Procurement and Business Services
  • Manage the company E-Store, including vendor coordination, product management, pricing, inventory, employee vouchers, and order fulfillment.
  • Manage the company's corporate travel program (Navan), including travel policies, employee communications, compliance monitoring, and spend analysis.
  • Manage the Enterprise Fleet program, including vehicle procurement, replacements, disposals, maintenance coordination, fuel management (WEX), vehicle signage, specialized equipment, and fleet-related vendor relationships.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory management, and replacement schedules for personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety supplies to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Oversee administration of the company's credit card program, including account management, card issuance, policy compliance, and employee support.
  • Oversee procurement of office supplies, furniture, equipment, software subscriptions, shipping services, office refreshments, catering, and event-related purchases.
  • Promote the use of preferred vendors and purchasing channels to ensure consistent purchasing practices.
  • Develop and manage office and departmental budgets, monitor spending, and prepare purchasing forecasts.
  • Analyze spending across procurement, travel, fleet, and corporate operations.
  • Monitor procurement metrics, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and provide reporting to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with preferred vendors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate new vendors and sourcing opportunities that support company standards and operational requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and service agreements to maximize value and control costs.
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of procurement, purchasing, or operations management experience.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, analytical, financial reporting, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting engineering, architecture, or professional services firms.
  • Experience with corporate travel programs, fleet management, or e‑procurement platforms.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and PPE requirements.
