Job summary

Jobot is seeking a high-growth, leading aerospace/defense organization professional for a procurement and supply chain leadership role focused on complex electrical components. The role oversees the entire supply chain, from planning and warehouse to shipping, with a strong emphasis on cost reduction, regulatory compliance, and KPI-driven performance.

You will forecast demand, manage a high-mix, low-volume environment with large BOMs, mentor staff, and negotiate favorable supplier contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in supply chain management in engineering.
• Experience managing direct reports in supply chain/operations.
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience required.
• Experience with high‑mix, low‑volume environments and large BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end supply chain: production planning, warehouse, inventory control, shipping/receiving.
• Develop and implement cost-reduction strategies.
• Ensure FAR and DFAR compliance in all activities.
• Forecast demand to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline operations.
• Develop, monitor KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to secure advantageous terms.
• Train and mentor supply chain staff toward continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production planning, warehouse management, inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
• Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to maximize profitability without sacrificing product quality or delivery timelines.
• Ensure compliance with FAR and D-FAR regulations in all supply chain activities.
• Forecast demand to ensure the availability of products and resources, taking proactive measures to avoid supply shortages or excess inventory.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline operations and improve the supply chain process.
• Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance, taking corrective action as needed.
• Establish strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts to secure advantageous terms.
• Train and mentor supply chain staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in supply chain management in the Engineering industry, with a proven track record of success.
• Must have experience managing direct reports with supply chain and operations.
• Aerospace/Defense industry experience is a must.
• Experience working in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment with complex electronic components and large BOMs
• Proficient in production planning, warehouse management, cost reduction strategies, inventory control, and shipping and receiving.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and D-FAR regulations.
• Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
• Strong commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity.
