Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead indirect procurement activities in Power & Energy; you will partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations to align contracts and strategies with business goals.

Location: Corinth, MS or Peoria, IL; onsite only. You will manage a team of four Buyers, drive cost improvements, supplier performance, and procurement governance; plus implement continuous improvement and analytics to optimize spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required.
• Proven leadership in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management.
• Experience with indirect procurement categories in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Ability to drive cost, quality, service, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic procurement activities for Power & Energy facilities and related indirect spend.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies; lead supplier negotiations and contracting.
• Manage a team of four Procurement Buyers; coach, develop, and set priorities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Finance, and Operations to align procurement with business goals.
• Monitor performance metrics, drive continuous improvement, and ensure governance.
