Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement experience including strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements and supporting supply chain continuity in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using ERP systems and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier relationships and performance, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.

Compensation for this position will be determined based on a combination of factors, including education, professional certifications, relevant experience, and other job-related considerations permitted by law.

Role Overview

The Procurement Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, and services while supporting supply chain continuity. This role combines hands-on procurement execution with strategic leadership by driving sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, procurement planning, and process optimization. The position serves as a key business owner for procurement-related systems, leveraging ERP platforms, business intelligence tools, and data analytics to support informed decision-making and operational excellence. The Procurement Lead partners closely with cross-functional teams to improve procurement performance, strengthen supplier relationships, and advance continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic sourcing and purchasing activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, purchase order management, and procurement planning to ensure cost, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance by conducting evaluations, resolving issues, identifying cost-reduction opportunities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Serve as the business owner for procurement-related ERP processes and master data, ensuring data integrity while supporting system enhancements, testing, and process improvements
  • Develop procurement dashboards, analyze supplier and purchasing data, and provide actionable insights to improve sourcing decisions, inventory performance, procurement KPIs, and cost optimization
  • Provide functional leadership and collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and IT to align procurement strategies with business objectives and operational requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ERP-supported purchasing processes
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating supplier agreements, managing procurement activities, and supporting supply chain continuity within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and data-driven decision-making to improve procurement performance
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor team members, and drive continuous process improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory or team lead experience within a procurement organization
  • Experience supporting procurement and supply chain operations in a process manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SAP ERP and Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiarity with IFS ERP, ROSS ERP, or other enterprise resource planning systems
