Job summary

Haddad Plumbing and Heating Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to join our team at our Newark, NJ headquarters.

You will support the Purchasing department by entering and maintaining purchasing, inventory, and vendor data across Excel and internal systems, and by processing purchase orders to ensure timely material delivery for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with data in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
• Attention to detail.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders and delivery docs.
• Create, process and manage purchase orders (POs) and track status.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability and delivery timelines.
• Maintain organized records of POs, invoices, packing slips and vendor communications.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Generate reports on inventory levels and order status for projects.
• Support Project Managers and field teams with timely procurement of materials.
