Job summary

You will assist with purchase order creation, cost verification, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in purchasing, preferably in the plumbing and HVAC related industry.
• Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately verify incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders and Packing Slips.
• Track and update inventory, ensuring accurate records in Inventory Programs.
• Create purchase orders, track and monitor their status.
• Issue and Verify all Costs of Purchase Orders According to Project Estimates.
• Create and present reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and other relevant data to Purchasing Manager.
• Procure material and equipment by negotiating cost, delivery schedule and terms with vendors.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in project meetings to understand delivery schedules.
• Monitor Purchasing Clerk to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Meet daily with Purchasing Manager and Purchasing Clerk to review delivery schedules, open Purchase Orders and other items pending.
• Assist with various Purchasing Tasks as requested by Purchasing Manager
