Job summary

R&B Wholesale Distributors, LLC is seeking a dependable Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and inventory operations. This role will place and track purchase orders, communicate with vendors, maintain accurate purchasing records, monitor inventory levels, and help ensure products are available when needed.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets, and able to communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional business/purchasing education is a plus.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or administrative roles preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and numbers, able to handle pricing and inventory data.

Responsibilities

• Assist purchasing team with daily purchasing and procurement activities.
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders accurately.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, availability, orders, and delivery dates.
• Track orders from placement to delivery and monitor inventory levels.
• Maintain vendor, product, pricing, and purchasing information.
• Prepare purchasing reports and assist with new product setup.
• Provide general support to Purchasing Manager and department.
