Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is a dynamic company seeking a motivated student intern to support purchasing activities in the Cylinders business. The Purchasing Intern will place purchase orders, confirm orders with vendors, and work with plant personnel to resolve order discrepancies.

This entry-level role provides exposure to procurement in a cylinders manufacturing environment. This summer it is full-time, with part-time hours during the school year, offering practical experience in ERP systems,

Qualifications

• Operations Management, Purchasing, or Supply Chain majors preferred.
• Available full-time 40 hours during summer and part-time during the school year.
• Minimum of 2 years college completion.
• Must be hard-working, responsible, and reliable.
• Must be able to think critically to solve daily issues.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders as needed
• Maintain accurate delivery information for p/o’s in our ERP system
• Research any p/o or invoice discrepancies
• Work with suppliers to expedite orders as needed
• Complete vendor returns
• Follow all departmental procedures for placing p/o’s
• Generate and maintain reports as needed
• Complete other miscellaneous projects
