Cleveland-Cliffs invites motivated students for a Supply Chain Procurement Intern role in West Chester, OH. You will support day-to-day procurement activities, manage supplier relationships, and help with market research and contract related tasks.

The program offers exposure to multiple categories and potential for future employment. You must be enrolled in a BS in Supply Chain Management and have completed at least sophomore year by summer 2027; must be eligible to work in the US full-time.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in Supply Chain Management with focus toward Procurement.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year by summer 2027.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist day-to-day procurement activities, manage supplier relationships and market research.
  • Track purchase orders and support contract negotiations.
  • Verify index-related price changes and manage blanket PO pricing.
  • Track market trends and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Research potential suppliers and evaluate product quality and pricing.
  • Manage end-to-end RFP process and work with AP on invoicing issues.

The Supply Chain Procurement Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, will manage projects within various categories, including Mobile Equipment, Lubricants, Chemicals, and others as assigned. The projects in which an intern will participate will vary, based on education level and other factors, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Assist with day-to-day procurement activities, including managing supplier relationships, conducting market research, tracking purchase orders, and supporting contract negotiations.
  • Collect data and analyze supplier pricing and performance metrics, ensuring consistency across plants.
  • Verify the accuracy of Index‑related price changes and manage blanket purchase order pricing.
  • Track market trends, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Research potential suppliers, assess capabilities, and evaluate product quality and pricing.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end process for Requests for Proposal (RFP).
  • Work with AP to research invoicing and payment issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in Bachelor of Science program in the field of Supply Chain Management with a focus toward Procurement.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
