Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support market research on suppliers in mechanical, electrical, and fabrication services.
• Organize supplier proposals, cost models, and evaluation materials.
• Gather cost data, labor rates, and industry benchmarks for analyses.
• Track supplier performance using KPI metrics across schedule, quality, safety, and cost.
• Help develop contract templates and compliance checklists.
• Coordinate between procurement and project teams to track delivery timelines.
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes for cross-functional meetings.
• Document procurement workflows and identify process improvements.

Job description

What your day might look like:

• Dive into supplier data, analyzing market trends and compiling capabilityinformation to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Organize and track supplier proposals, cost models, and evaluation materialsto ensure the team has accessible, up-to-date information.
• Monitor supplier performance, tracking KPIs across schedule, quality, safety,and cost metrics to identify trends and risks.
• Collaborate with project execution teams to track delivery timelines and flagpotential schedule conflicts early.
• Develop or refine process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) to improve team efficiency and clarity.
• Attend cross-functional meetings, take notes, and prepare summaries to keepstakeholders aligned on procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities: In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to)

• Supplier Research & Market Analysis Support: Conduct preliminary marketresearch on suppliers specializing in mechanical, electrical, and fabricationservices. Compile supplier capability data, pricing information, and industrytrends to support the Regional Technical Category Manager's strategicsourcing decisions and market analysis activities.
• Proposal Documentation & Organization: Assist in organizing, tracking, andmaintaining proposal documentation for custom turnkey projects. Supportthe compilation of supplier proposals, cost models, and evaluationmaterials to ensure all proposal costing and optimization activities areproperly documented and accessible.
• Cost Data Collection & Benchmarking: Gather historical project cost data,labor rates, material pricing, and industry benchmarks. Organize thisinformation into accessible formats to support total cost of ownership (TCO)analyses and cost reduction initiatives led by senior team members.
• Supplier and Operational Performance Tracking & KPI Monitoring: Collect andcompile performance data (workload, liquidation, schedule, quality, safety,cost metrics) and prepare summary reports to support post-awardmanagement and supplier performance reviews.
• Contract & Compliance Documentation: Support the development andorganization of contract templates, terms and conditions frameworks, andcompliance checklists. Assist in ensuring documentation is current andaccessible for negotiation and risk management activities.
• Project Execution Coordination Support: Serve as a liaison between theprocurement team and project execution teams. Track project schedules,delivery timelines, and supplier commitments to support on-time deliveryassurance and identify potential schedule risks early.
• Stakeholder Communication & Meeting Support: Prepare meeting agendas,take minutes, and distribute action items for cross-functional collaborationmeetings with project teams, engineering, and suppliers. Supportcommunication between procurement and internal stakeholders regardingproject-specific needs.
• Procurement Process Documentation & Process Improvement: Collect currentprocurement workflows, sourcing processes, and supplier managementprocedures. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist inimplementing best practices across the team's operations.
• Industry Standards & Compliance Research: Research and compileinformation on water industry standards, safety regulations, environmentalrequirements, and compliance frameworks relevant to customturnkey/mechanical/electrical projects. Support the team's compliance andrisk management efforts.
• Data Entry & System Management (SAP/Ariba): Support data entry,maintenance, and reporting within procurement systems (SAP, Ariba). Assistin generating reports and maintaining accurate supplier and projectinformation to support category management activities.

Compensation:

• The compensation range is tied to the market for similarly bench-marked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $18.80-$20.91 USD
