Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas is seeking a data-driven Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing for engineered components and systems. You will liaise across solution, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement that meets design and compliance requirements.

You will lead RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate with vendors, and develop strategic supplier relationships while addressing risks and obsolescence in early project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.

• Collaborate with solution, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement strategy with design intent.
• Lead vendor selection and set up vendor pool for the solution business.
• Identify cost-effective and technically suitable suppliers for components or systems.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes, perform cost analysis, and support supplier decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, and quality terms with vendors.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including qualifying new sources.
• Address sourcing risks, long lead times, and obsolescence in early design phases.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues with QA/operations.
• Ensure procurement documentation aligns with compliance and traceability.

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing and procurement activities for engineered components and systems for our solution business. This role serves as a critical liaison between solution team, quality, and the supply chain team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of products, materials, or systems to meet design and compliance requirements internally and to fulfil project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering specifications to identify sourcing requirements.
• Collaborate with solution, engineering, and quality teams to align procurement strategy with design intent and lifecycle needs.
• Lead vendor selection process and set up vendor pool for solution business
• Identify cost-effective and technically suitable suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and electronic components or systems.
• Manager RFQ/RFP processes, perform cost analysis, and support supplier selection decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, quality terms, and technical compliance with vendors.
• Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships, including qualifying new sources.
• Address sourcing risks, long lead time items, and obsolescence concerns in early project design phases.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues in collaboration with QA and operations teams.
• Ensure procurement documentation aligns with compliance, traceability, and documentation control requirements
• Manage cost savings, delivery timelines, and sourcing KPIs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain engineering.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
