Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead indirect spend strategies from identification to delivery.

You will negotiate with suppliers, manage category strategies, and align short- and long-term plans with company goals for cost reduction, risk management and value for money. The role requires 7+ years in procurement, strong supplier relationships, contract terms experience, and the ability to present to senior management.

• Work with business partners to understand enterprise spend and identify opportunities to increase quality and value for money.
• Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide savings and process efficiencies.
• Maintain contractual and business relationships with vendors.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations.
• Plan and execute effective negotiation processes with vendors.
• Support procurement functions in Vizient's ERP system as needed.

Summary:

In this role, you will implement procurement strategies, from initial identification of procurement needs through delivery, for indirect goods and services. You will assist with execution of short-term and long-term strategies that align with the Company goals for reducing costs, managing risk and meeting company financial goals. You will negotiate, coordinate and assure that assigned indirect spend categories and services are purchased at the best possible cost. You will assess near-term and long-term plans to establish supplier priorities balanced with business needs; consult with management and other subject experts to develop alternative solutions, advise on options, risks, total cost of ownership and business impact.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 7 or more years of experience with procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and contract legal terms and conditions is required.
• Experience presenting to and working with senior management is required.
• Ability to think strategically and independently.
• Experience with contract legal terms and conditions.
• Possess strong project management, facilitation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build strategic supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Estimated Hiring Range:

The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
