Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a procurement professional in Indiana to strengthen data governance, maintain procurement records, and support contracts and security assessments. The role emphasizes data accuracy, AI-assisted tooling, and efficient processes within Supply Management.

You will collaborate with business partners to meet lead-time goals, troubleshoot systems, and update intranet guidance and training resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement or related fields (required).
• Experience with procurement systems and data management (preferred).
• Energy industry experience (preferred).
• Strong M365 capabilities: Excel, Word/PowerPoint, Outlook/Teams, SharePoint/Stream.
• High accuracy in data entry, document management, and version control.
• Ability to generate simple reports and interpret basic metrics.
• Comfort adapting to new digital tools, including AI-assisted automation.

Responsibilities

• Apply naming conventions and metadata standards to strengthen data governance.
• Ensure procurement records are complete and maintained across lifecycle.
• Assist with contract and security assessment renewals; support timely procurement requests.
• Troubleshoot procurement systems and serve as a contact for internal stakeholders.
• Update intranet content with guidance, FAQs, how-to materials, and training resources.
• Validate procurement records generated manually or via AI tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and data clean-up.
• Support purchasing-process conversion projects and AI-use case exploration.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
