Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator Inc. (MISO) is seeking a procurement professional to strengthen data governance, maintain lifecycle records, and support contract and security assessments within the Finance and Supply Management teams.

You will work with business partners to ensure timely procurement requests, optimize lead times, and explore AI-assisted automation while maintaining high accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply management, purchasing, contract administration or related fields.
• Experience with procurement systems and data management preferred.
• Energy industry experience preferred.
• Strong M365 capabilities: Excel (filters, pivots, formulas, data validation), Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams, SharePoint & Stream.
• High accuracy in data entry, document management, and version control.
• Ability to generate simple reports and interpret basic metrics.
• Comfort with new digital tools including AI-assisted automation.

Responsibilities

• Apply procurement naming conventions and metadata standards to strengthen data governance and consistency.
• Ensure procurement records—contracts, POs, supplier information, security assessments—are complete, accurate, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
• Assist with contract and security assessment renewals; collaborate with partners to support timely procurement requests and lead-time goals.
• Troubleshoot procurement systems and processes; serve as a contact for internal stakeholders.
• Manage and update Supply Management intranet content with clear guidance, FAQs, how-to materials, and training resources.
• Validate and verify procurement records generated manually or via AI-assisted tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives including process enhancements, data cleanup, and system optimization.
• Support broader Finance initiatives like purchasing-process conversions and AI-use case exploration in alignment with the digital roadmap.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
