Northeastern University is seeking a Purchasing Specialist in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering to manage procure-to-pay and contract processes for research and department purchases. You will negotiate with vendors, process POs and contracts, and partner with NU-RES and the Office of General Counsel on compliance.

The role requires attention to detail and discretion, with responsibilities in financial operations support and student/research staff employment support,

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required (Associate's degree with relevant experience considered).
• Minimum of two years of financial operations and purchasing experience; knowledge of procurement processes and grant compliance preferred.
• Experience serving as a primary point of contact in a multi-constituent environment (students, faculty, visitors, vendors).

• Negotiate with vendors, manage quotes, and coordinate contract processes.
• Process purchase orders and contracts from initiation to completion.
• Provide financial operations support and employment support for department staff and students.
