Georgia State University in Atlanta seeks an experienced Assistant Director, Contracts & Compliance to oversee the university's procurement and purchasing functions. The role partners with Facilities and academic units to ensure compliant, cost-effective purchasing and contract management.

The position leads contract administration, supplier negotiations, and procurement process improvements, supervising staff and supporting e-procurement enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five years supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with procurement, contracts, and approvals.
• Knowledge of ERP and e-procurement systems (PeopleSoft/Jaggaer).
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders across units.

Responsabilités

• Oversee procurement operations across academic, research, medical, and administrative units.
• Review, approve, and sign purchase orders, contracts, amendments, and solicitations within delegated authority.
• Develop, issue, and evaluate complex solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, cooperative contracts).
• Lead vendor negotiations and contract development to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Assist with internal/external audits and corrective actions.
