Job summary

Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma is seeking a Procurement Officer to oversee purchasing, contracts, and compliance for tribal property and services. You will work with the Accounting Department to ensure accurate requisitions, POs, and payments.

The role requires knowledge of federal procurement standards and tribal policies, along with strong vendor management and risk assessment skills. Office-based position with standard business hours and occasional extra duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Administration or Accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of 25 CFR Part 276, 2 CFR Part 200 and FARS.
• Experience with property control and procurement processes.
• Ability to use integrated accounting software and Microsoft applications.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities to ensure compliance with tribal and federal regulations.
• Develop purchasing policies and procedures for proper use of tribal funds.
• Maintain purchasing manual and ensure proper approval and coding.
