Job summary

FBD Partnership LP is seeking a Procurement Buyer in San Antonio, TX to plan and procure production materials, manage inventory, and coordinate with internal teams. The role emphasizes maintaining supplier relationships and optimizing lead times and costs.

The ideal candidate has at least 0–1 year of procurement experience, is detail-oriented, and proficient with MS Office. ERP experience with IFS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 0-1 year of procurement or buying experience.
• Detail-oriented with ability to complete daily tasks and projects.
• Prior ERP/purchasing software experience is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure production materials to support quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Evaluate orders and prepare POs to meet demand.
• Coordinate with management for timely delivery and backorder reporting.
• Maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost control.
• Analyze quotes, monitor pricing, and support cost improvement programs.
• Maintain storeroom processes for critical spare parts across departments.
• Resolve receiving, invoicing, and PO pricing discrepancies with suppliers.
• Place POs for internal departments based on requisitions.
• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory levels and material availability.
• Maintain data in ERP system IFS and negotiate with suppliers.
