Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Buyer to assist the Buying Team by expanding vendor reach, setting up new items, and maintaining a comprehensive product catalog. The role coordinates new product launches and manages costs, retail pricing, content, and images while sustaining strong vendor relationships.

You will support and train as a backup to the Control Buyer, participate in cross-functional improvements, and help manage supplier performance and ERP-driven inventory plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Buyer, and Materials Planning.
• Proficiency in purchasing materials and equipment from suppliers.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and KPIs.
• Skill in planning material requirements and managing inventory levels.
• Ability to develop efficient mechanisms for monitoring and updating purchase orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buying Team by setting up new vendors and items, and maintaining catalog.
• Coordinate new product launches and maintain cost, price, content, and images.
• Manage vendor relations and supplier performance KPIs.
• Plan material requirements and manage ERP inventory levels.
• Monitor purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
• Support Global Commodity Management with supplier relationships and new programs.
• Resolve PO receiving errors and assist with invoice reconciliation.
• Identify supply chain risks and drive cross-functional improvements.
