Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking anAssociate Buyer to support procurement for project-based and operational needs by sourcing materials, equipment, and services. You will assist with supplier and subcontractor administration and ensure timely support throughout the procurement lifecycle.

The role offers a strong foundation in transactional purchasing with a path to more strategic procurement responsibilities, including sourcing, RFQs, contract negotiations, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business related field or discipline similar to procurement.
• Approximately 14 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, construction administration, or similar function (internships considered).
• Understanding of purchasing and procurement fundamentals including sourcing, supplier management, quotations, purchase orders and commercial terms.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management processes.
• Ability to generate and manage purchase orders and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions to verify accuracy, completeness, approvals and supporting documentation.
• Generate and issue purchase orders using SAP Business One in line with internal procedures.
• Coordinate RFQs for materials, equipment, and services, including supplier outreach and quote collection.
