The ideal candidate has a degree in supply chain management (preferred) with up to 2 years of purchasing experience and strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of experience in a Buyer or Purchasing Agent role implied by requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience using purchasing software or ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation skills for pricing, terms, and vendor agreements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide material and freight cost estimates to support project planning.
• Monitor and fulfill purchase requests in a timely manner.
• Analyze supplier offers for best cost savings and delivery outcomes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and project teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain reporting on delivery commitments and outstanding items.
• Follow up with suppliers and teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Report supplier performance metrics to internal teams.
• Facilitate change orders through the purchasing system.
• Manage product returns and warranty exchanges.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate and complete communication on order status and delivery.
• Accurately allocate time and costs to the appropriate project budget.
