Job summary

HelloFresh in Toronto is seeking a procurement professional to manage purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely deliveries. You will analyze data and drive process improvements while maintaining cost controls and inventory accuracy.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and weekend availability. Occasional travel to NYC HQ may be required as needed to support business priorities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 1–3 years of procurement and/or sourcing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Must be flexible to work weekends (3x a quarter).
• Preferably able to travel to NYC HQ 1–2 times per year for site/HQ visits when management deems it business critical.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders to allocated vendors at the correct price and quantity.
• Partner with HelloFresh distribution centers, offsite production and warehouse locations, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and inventory match demand.
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending changes, testing new processes, and implementing updates.
• Analyze purchasing data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Resolve supplier issues quickly and professionally in operations, purchasing or quality/performance.
• Conduct weekly operations processes including updating POs, tracking freight, managing production issues, paying invoices, scrubbing data and managing inventory levels.
• Support teammates to prevent missed boxes or substitutions due to procurement issues.
• Work with a team to grow offsite production capabilities.

Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for:

• Place purchase orders to allocated vendors for a variety of food or packaging Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), at the correct price, quantity, buffer, etc.
• Partner with HelloFresh distribution centers, offsite production and warehouse locations, and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and inventories match demand requirements
• Drive continuous improvement efforts by recommending changes, testing new processes, and implementing updates
• Analyze purchasing data to ensure accuracy of information, purchasing procedures and identify any discrepancies, etc
• Resolve any unforeseen problems with suppliers relating to operations, purchasing or quality/performance quickly and professionally
• Conduct all weekly operations processes including updating POs, tracking freight, managing production issues, paying invoices, scrubbing data and managing inventory levels.
• Support your teammates to ensure that no boxes are missed and no ingredients are subbed due to procurement issues.
• Work with a team of internal high-achievers to continue building, growing, and improving on our offsite production capabilities

• A Bachelor’s degree is required
• 1-3 years of procurement and/or sourcing experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
• Must be flexible to work weekends (3x a quarter)
• Preferably be able to travel to New York City HQ, USA. at least 1-2 times per year for site/HQ visits when manager deems business critical
• Customer-centric and willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs
• Detail-oriented with proven ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet time sensitive deadlines
• Data driven- curious about what insights can be derived from numbers
• Highly adaptable- you thrive in a fast-paced, high-change and dynamic work environment
