Qualifications

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand BOM structures.

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strategic sourcing — Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of supporting capital-equipment production, balancing cost, quality, and lead-time requirements.
  • Purchase order management — Issue, track, and manage POs for raw materials, fabricated components, tooling, and outsourced services.
  • Supplier communication — Maintain daily communication with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery schedules, order status, and capacity availability.
  • Cost analysis — Review quotes, negotiate pricing, and analyze cost drivers to support competitive purchasing decisions.
  • Inventory coordination — Work with inventory and production teams to ensure materials arrive on time and align with build schedules for large capital-equipment projects.
  • Technical collaboration — Partner with engineering to interpret drawings, specifications, and BOM requirements for new builds and revisions.
  • Supplier performance tracking — Monitor supplier quality, delivery accuracy, and responsiveness; elevate issues and drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Expediting — Proactively expedite critical materials to prevent production delays and support project timelines.
  • Documentation accuracy — Maintain accurate records of POs, quotes, supplier agreements, and material certifications.
  • Continuous improvement — Identify opportunities to reduce cost, shorten lead times, and improve supply chain reliability.
