Job summary

Firetrace International, part of Halma plc, is seeking an energetic procurement professional to manage full-cycle purchasing in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The role focuses on supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution, while maintaining ITAR compliance and accurate MRP data. Collaboration with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning is essential to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory turns.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years procurement experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or experience in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of ITAR requirements.
  • Experience with ERP systems like Great Plains preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full-cycle purchasing and sourcing including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Manage procurement to support business needs and maintain accurate MRP inputs.
  • Drive supplier performance with KPIs and resolve issues in delivery, quality, price, or trade terms.
  • Generate On-Time Delivery (OTD) reports and maintain supplier schedules.
  • Source supplies at optimal price and delivery while maintaining inventory turns.
  • Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning during project launches.
  • Lead supplier performance improvements and communicate updates to internal customers.
  • Expedite shortages and prioritize inbound supply with receiving and quality teams.
  • Ensure ITAR compliance and cross-functional teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.

  • Manage all aspects of procurement to support business needs
  • You will use your expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing process
  • Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.
  • Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics, and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale
  • Generate reports for On-Time Delivery (OTD) for supplier performance.
  • Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining inventory turn cycles.
  • Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchases
  • Interacts closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure all aspects of procurement is represented during project launch and execution
  • Responsible for on‑going supplier performance improvement
  • Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas
  • Expedite and expedite purchase part shortages as needed.
  • Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams as needed.

  • Strong understanding of inventory, planning, and manufacturing environments.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on competing priorities and to delegate when appropriate.

  • Demonstrated solutions‑oriented mindset and ability to lead process improvements and develop standards/procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to comply with ITAR requirements, as indicated below.
Education & Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate is an analytical, driven professional with 2-4 years procurement experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is excited to contribute, learn and grow. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or experience in lieu of degree required.

Preferred Skills & Abilities
  • Procurement experience within Aerospace environment preferred.
  • Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Previous experience in international logistics a plus
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plus
