Job summary

Firetrace International, a global leader in fire suppression solutions and part of Halma PLC, is seeking an analytical procurement professional with 2–4 years of experience. The role focuses on coordinating full-cycle purchasing, supplier negotiation, and contract execution within a fast-paced environment.

You will manage MRP inputs, monitor supplier performance, and work closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure successful project launches and ongoing supply

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years procurement experience in fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full cycle purchasing and sourcing, including supplier selection and contract execution.
  • Manage all procurement aspects to support business needs.
  • Maintain accurate MRP inputs: supplier, lead times, pricing.
  • Monitor supplier promise dates and ensure up-to-date information in schedules.
  • Drive supplier performance with KPIs and communicate variances in delivery, price or sale conditions.
  • Generate On-Time Delivery (OTD) reports for supplier performance.
  • Purchase supplies at optimal price and delivery cycle; maintain inventory turns.
  • Adapt to market changes to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance.
  • Collaborate with PM, Eng, and Materials Planning during launches and execution.
  • Pursue ongoing supplier performance improvements and cross-functional coordination.
  • Communicate with internal customers daily; assist with shortages as needed.
  • Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the full cycle purchasing and sourcing process to include supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Manage all aspects of procurement to support business needs
  • You will use your expertise to drive excellence in all areas of the purchasing process
  • Manage and maintain accurate MRP inputs including supplier, lead times, and pricing
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held within the supplier schedules.
  • Drive supplier performance, establish key performance metrics, and communicate when serious variations arise in delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale
  • Generate reports for On-Time Delivery (OTD) for supplier performance.
  • Purchase supplies and materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining inventory turn cycles.
  • Adapt to changing market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and quality conformance of all purchases
  • Interacts closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Materials Planning to ensure all aspects of procurement is represented during project launch and execution
  • Responsible for on-going supplier performance improvement
  • Daily communication with internal customers and receiving areas
  • Expedite and expedite purchase part shortages as needed.
  • Prioritize incoming supply with Receiving and Quality teams as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, planning, and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on competing priorities and to delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated solutions-oriented mindset and ability to lead process improvements and develop standards/procedures.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to comply with ITAR requirements, as indicated below.
Education & Experience Requirements

The ideal candidate is an analytical, driven professional with 2-4 years procurement experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to contribute, learn and grow. Bachelor's degree in relevant field or experience in lieu of degree required.

Preferred Skills & Abilities
  • Procurement experience within Aerospace environment preferred.
  • Experience in Great Plains (GP) or similar ERP system.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Previous experience in international logistics a plus
  • Knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean, or project management a plus
